1. About OZY Translator

OZY Translator is designed to help Discord communities communicate across different languages.

Features may include:

• Automatic message translation
• On-demand translation commands
• Translation between supported languages
• Detection of message language
• User language preferences
• Channel-specific translation settings
• Multilingual announcements
• Translation of replies or referenced messages
• Administrative controls for translation features
• Other communication and language-related tools

Features, supported languages, translation providers, and functionality may change over time.

2. Eligibility and Authorization

You may use OZY Translator only if you are permitted to use Discord and comply with Discord's applicable terms and policies.

If you install or configure OZY Translator on a Discord server, you represent that you have permission to do so and sufficient authority within that server to grant the requested permissions.

Discord server owners and administrators are responsible for determining which channels may use translation features, which members may access specific features, whether automatic translation is enabled, which languages are configured, and which permissions are granted to OZY Translator.

3. Translation Services

OZY Translator may use automated translation technology to translate text between languages. Translations are provided for convenience and may not always be accurate.

Automated translation can misunderstand slang, abbreviations, sarcasm, humor, regional expressions, informal language, names, game-specific terminology, technical terminology, cultural references, and context-dependent meaning.

Translations should be treated as an interpretation of the original message, not as a guaranteed exact representation. Users should refer to the original message when accuracy is important.

4. Important or Sensitive Communications

OZY Translator is not intended to replace professional human translation where accuracy is critical.

You should not rely exclusively on OZY Translator for legal documents or advice, medical information, financial instructions, emergency communications, contracts, government communications, safety-critical instructions, official business decisions, or other communications where mistranslation could cause significant harm.

Where precise interpretation is necessary, users should obtain qualified human translation or independently verify the translated content.

5. Message Processing

In order to provide translation functionality, OZY Translator may need to process message content submitted through Discord.

Depending on server configuration, this may include messages in configured translation channels, replies or referenced messages selected for translation, language information, Discord user identifiers, server and channel identifiers, translation configuration, and other information required to perform the requested translation.

6. Translation Providers and Third-Party Services

OZY Translator may use third-party services, APIs, artificial intelligence systems, or translation providers to perform translations or language detection.

When required to provide a translation, message content may be transmitted to a configured translation provider for processing. Third-party services operate under their own terms, privacy policies, technical limitations, and availability.

The specific services used by OZY Translator may change as the application develops. Where practical, OZY Translator will minimize the information sent to translation providers to what is necessary to provide the requested function.

7. Artificial Intelligence and Automated Processing

Some OZY Translator functionality may use artificial intelligence or other automated language-processing systems. Automated systems can produce incorrect, incomplete, misleading, or unexpected results.

They may misinterpret context, translate names incorrectly, change tone or emphasis, fail to preserve jokes or sarcasm, or translate specialized terminology incorrectly.

OZY Translator does not guarantee that an automated translation accurately represents the intent, tone, or meaning of the original author.

8. Original Messages

The original Discord message remains the authoritative source of what a user wrote.

A translation generated by OZY Translator does not replace the original message, does not modify the author's original intent, should not automatically be attributed to the author as their exact wording, and may differ in tone or meaning from the original.

Where disputes arise regarding the meaning of a translated message, users should review the original message and, where necessary, ask the original author for clarification.

9. User Responsibility

Users remain responsible for the content they submit, translate, or communicate through Discord. Use of a translation service does not remove responsibility for harassment, threats, hate speech, spam, fraud, illegal content, malicious content, violations of Discord policies, or violations of applicable law.

Translation of prohibited content does not make that content permitted.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree to use OZY Translator responsibly and lawfully. You may not use OZY Translator to:

• Violate applicable laws or regulations
• Violate Discord's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, Developer Terms, or other applicable policies
• Harass, threaten, abuse, impersonate, or harm other users
• Generate or distribute spam
• Deliberately evade moderation systems or server rules
• Attempt unauthorized access to the application or its infrastructure
• Attempt to obtain authentication credentials, API keys, tokens, or private configuration
• Exploit vulnerabilities or software defects
• Interfere with operation of the service
• Generate unreasonable automated traffic
• Abuse translation providers or external APIs
• Use translated content for unlawful or unauthorized purposes

Access may be limited, suspended, or terminated when abuse is detected.

11. Discord Permissions

OZY Translator may require Discord permissions necessary to provide translation functionality. Depending on configuration, these may include permission to view channels, read messages made available to the bot, read message history, send messages, reply to messages, use webhooks, embed links, use application commands, and access user, server, and channel identifiers.

OZY Translator should only be granted permissions necessary for the features being used. Server owners and administrators remain responsible for managing Discord permissions and access to translation features.

12. Server Configuration

Translation behavior may vary between Discord servers. Server administrators may configure enabled translation channels, source and destination languages, automatic translation behavior, member permissions, administrative permissions, language preferences, and translation formatting.

OZY Translator is not responsible for inappropriate or incorrect configuration performed by server administrators.

13. Data and Privacy

OZY Translator may process information necessary to provide translation functionality and maintain application configuration. Information may include Discord identifiers, message content submitted for translation, language information, server configuration, and technical usage information.

Information is handled according to the OZY Translator Privacy Policy. OZY Translator does not sell personal information to advertisers or data brokers.

14. Content Ownership

Users retain ownership of content they submit through Discord to the extent provided by applicable law and Discord's terms. Using OZY Translator does not transfer ownership of a user's message to OZY Translator.

Users grant OZY Translator only the limited ability necessary to process submitted content for the purpose of providing requested application functionality.

15. Community Moderation

OZY Translator is not a replacement for Discord server moderation. Server owners and moderators remain responsible for community rules, moderation, reports, disputes, permissions, and access.

Translation errors should be considered when evaluating potentially problematic translated messages. Where appropriate, moderators should inspect the original message before taking action based solely on a translation.

16. Availability and Service Changes

OZY Translator is provided on an "as available" basis. We may add or remove languages, change translation providers, modify commands, add or remove features, change rate limits, perform maintenance, temporarily suspend functionality, restrict access to particular features, or permanently discontinue some or all functionality.

Translation availability may also depend on external service providers. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

17. Rate Limits and Abuse Prevention

OZY Translator may impose limits on translations, commands, automated messages, or other functionality to maintain reliability and prevent abuse. Limits may depend on server activity, Discord API limitations, translation provider limitations, application capacity, abuse-prevention measures, and technical requirements.

Attempts to deliberately circumvent these restrictions may result in temporary or permanent suspension of access.

18. Security

Reasonable measures may be used to protect OZY Translator and the information processed by it. However, no internet-based application can guarantee absolute security.

You agree not to attempt to discover, obtain, publish, misuse, or exploit bot tokens, authentication credentials, API keys, private application configuration, security vulnerabilities, restricted information, or other users' private information.

19. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to OZY Translator when reasonably necessary, including when these Terms or Discord policies are violated, translation functionality is being abused, security or privacy may be at risk, the service is being used to facilitate harassment, spam, or unlawful activity, or continued operation is no longer technically practical.

Discord server owners may remove OZY Translator from their server at any time.

20. Intellectual Property

The OZY Translator application, including its original software, interface, branding, documentation, and related original materials, remains the property of its respective developers or rights holders. These Terms do not grant users ownership of OZY Translator or its source code.

Discord, third-party translation services, trademarks, names, and other third-party intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners.

21. Disclaimer of Warranties

OZY Translator is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by applicable law.

We do not guarantee that every translation will be correct, every supported language will always remain available, tone and context will always be preserved, language detection will always be accurate, translation providers will always operate correctly, messages will always be translated immediately, or the application will operate without errors.

Use of OZY Translator is at your own discretion and risk.

22. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developers and operators of OZY Translator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages resulting from use of or inability to use the application.

This includes losses or disputes resulting from incorrect translations, misinterpreted messages, incorrect language detection, changes in tone or meaning, missed translations, translation delays, Discord outages, third-party translation provider outages, API failures, service interruptions, loss of configuration or data, or actions taken based on an automated translation.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

23. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated when OZY Translator's functionality, translation providers, legal requirements, security practices, or third-party integrations change. The latest version will be published at this URL.

The Last updated date at the top indicates when these Terms were most recently revised. Continued use of OZY Translator after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

24. Discord Policies

Use of OZY Translator is also subject to applicable Discord rules and policies, including Discord's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, Developer Terms of Service, and Developer Policy. If use of OZY Translator conflicts with Discord's applicable requirements, Discord's requirements must be followed.
